So in preparation for my momma coming to town for Christmas, I tried my hand at the afore mentioned snowflake Christmas cookies.

Below is the result.  They taste as good as they look 😉

Tip: If you make these cookies do NOT use tea cake dough.  Resist your inner southerner and just say no.  Use a dough that cooperates better with large, intricate cookie cutters.

In other news, I attended a Christmas party this weekend that included a cookie decorating contest.  I took second place of the adults (two categories, adults and children) with the  three dimensional countryside Christmas scene as pictured below.
