Unexpected is the word that best describes the journey I am on. As I follow God, He constantly surprises me and leads me into things I would have never dreamed imaginable.
I’ve been blogging since 2007, but after a long hiatus from having these three kids (in under three years!!), I am officially re-launching my blog! If you stick around here, you will hear me talk a lot about my faith, food, family and friends; and how we strive to live life wholeheartedly in everything we do.
In my day-to-day life, my biggest focus right now is on home education. I never set my mind on homeschooling, but when our first child experienced language delays, God set us on a path to discover that home education is not what we thought it was and is the right fit for our family. Cultivating a lifestyle of learning in everything we do is a value our family holds dear. In addition to mommin’ and schoolin’ my kiddos, I work part-time as a content creator for a small marketing company and I absolutely LOVE what I do!
I’m an enneagram 4 (equally winged!), ENFP, and my Strengths Finder is Connectedness, Communications, Strategic, Maximizer, and Woo. Professionally, I love collaborating and working with teams and individuals to help clarify their messages and tell compelling stories. Personally, I am very curious and love discovering new things. I feel deeply, love wholeheartedly, and I am incapable of small talk. I love Jesus and work everyday to be “strong in God’s Word and strong in prayer.” Exhortation is on of my spiritual gifts and I have a passion to inspire all Christ-followers to live on mission and walk in the good work that God created each of us to do, for His glory and the good of others.
Playlists are my love language. I try to cook and eat Paleo as much as possible. Mexican food is on my menu more than any other flavor. Avocados=Life. I love hosting people in our home and going overboard in the kitchen. My hobbies include planning trips to Disney World for my friends and tending to my tiny home garden on the back patio of my Tennessee home.
In a previous life I lived in worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, led communications for multi-million dollar non-profit organization, and coached influencers on how to leverage social media to do more good. Before becoming a mom, I had the privilege of traveling around the world on 7 international missions trips and have visited every continent except Australia and Antartica—but both are on my list!
God gave me “Wholeheartedly” as the title of this blog and I believe he wants this to be a place where I can share what he is teaching me with others. I want to live life wholeheartedly for the Lord in every way, and I would love to have you along for the journey!
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
