I am sorry that I don’t have more to offer you than the link above to the U2 3D movie. I think its amazing that people from all over the world are somehow finding my blog through a U2 search. I wish I had more to offer you than a link to another page!
U2 is one of my favorite bands. Its difficult to really choose a favorite because the bands I like are pretty different from one another, kind of like comparing apples to oranges. But in any event, I am in love with the music and lyrics produced by this band. I have only had the privilege of seeing them in concert ONCE. So sad, I know. But tickets are nearly impossible to get, the sell out so fast and the fan clubs get the good pre-sale deals.
I would love to hear from some of you visitors, where have you seen U2 in concert? What tour/year? What are some of your favorite songs? Why do you love the band?
Its difficult for me to describe why I love the band. I really connect with the music first and foremost. They are so talented. Even if there were no lyrics, I would still be moved my the music. They say that 80% of communication is non-verbal. I think that music falls into the non-verbal category.
Not to disregard the lyrics, this is icing on the cake! I love U2 because their songs are no arbitrary. The lyrics are intentional and carry meaning. I really appreciate this in a band. They recognize they have a platform to communicate with the world and they leverage that, I believe, for the good of man kind. Their messages encourage us to make the world a better place.

I can’t remember if we’ve ever met (if we have I’m sorry I can’t seem to remember!), but I feel like I know who you are since we have mutual friends. Carla (Rose) Putt is a close friend, and it seems like maybe you two were close as well? I don’t know if we were at Union at the same time, but I married William Marshall (if you happened to know him; he was there from 1996-2000).
I’m glad you added me to your blogroll! I’d be glad to return the favor! I’ve been lazy about posting over the past few months, but I’m trying to get back at it. I’m looking forward to reading your blog! 🙂
I did not know Amber well (I think we only actually met once), but the times that we “spoke” through email were so encouraging. It seems that in everything she did, she absolutely radiated Christ. What a legacy to leave!!
What I struggle with is thinking of Anthony and the children. My heart is so broken for them. We will be lifting them in prayer as so many others (thankfully) will be doing.
