This is an email I received this week.  Its still cracking me up that Santa Claus is following me on Twitter.  I guess he wants to make sure I am being “nice” and not “naughty.”

Are any of you into Twitter yet?

Its basically mass text messaging through the web and through SMS text messages.  You can follow people and receive the updates they enter via their cell phone text messaging or via their web updates and reply to specific tweets using @replies.  You can  also sync twitter with your blog and facebook to indicate you latest “tweets.”

Some find this to be TMI and can’t understand why people need to know this much about random things others are doing.  But for those of us with the Strengths Finder 2.0 strength of Connectedness LOVE IT.

Honestly, I don’t think anyone can really explain it.  You just have to try it.  Go to twitter.com and sign up.  If you want to get updates via text message you have to turn on “device updates” for the individual you are following.  You dont have to have device updates for everyone you follow.  I only have a handful of folks I receive via text message.  You can go to the website to check the rest.  But if you do select the device updates feature make sure that your cell phone plan allows for unlimited texting.
