Some people may relate the idea of rescue to missions. I can see how one would make this connection. Maybe there is rescue from illness, persecution, slavery…. Maybe there is rescue from sin, death and punishment…

When I think of rescue in terms of missions, I think of one thing only: God is rescuing humanity, in a way only He can, for his pleasure and his Glory.
