Lessons Learned

Well its been yet another month and I honestly have nothing good or motivating to report about my little diet experiment except for one thing: It was a bad idea!

I wanted to try a different eating plan each month to see which ones worked the best.  I started with South Beach, then I tried Zone, then Paleo.  Well let me tell you, South Beach worked for me.  The other two I just don’t have enough discipline to do right. So I have decided to abandon my experiment.  Thankfully I have not gained back the weight I lost on South Beach.  Unfortunately, I have not lost any additional weight, not have I exercised in two months! I have alot of work to do.  But I have some new running shoes and some new music on my ipod, the sun is out and I am feeling a tiny little bit of hope and, unfortunately, equally as much motivation. I start back on South Beach tomorrow!

So lesson learned here: if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

And, never wake a sleeping baby — that one I’ll give you for free.

You go, girl! I’m a big fan of South Beach, too. Take it slow and steady…they say that always wins the race. P.S. You are already beautiful!

AnnieLaurie…The good thing about your experiment is that now you know what works for you and what does not. Get outside even if you don’t feel like it, because I guarantee you, you will almost always feel better after you did. Your sweet baby will love to go for walks, and a short jog to some great music will give you even more energy. Don’t beat yourself up..you’ll get there. And soon you’ll be giving all of your readers more of the encouragement and godly words I always look forward to.
